My First Nest
I loved, loved, loved my first apartment. I lived on the first floor to the left as you walked in. Wished I had the round jut out but that never came to be. However, I had a real fake fireplace, a little galley kitchen (where I learned to make pierogis and bread),
My bedroom had a private entrance from the parking lot and I had 4 large windows with lots of light. My bedroom side window was level with the neighbors deck and every now and then their giant breed great dane would bark through my screen and levitate me off the bed. *sigh* good memories.
Mom and I stripped wallpaper and then re-papered with believe it or not a more neutral palette. It was all girl and I loved it.
Just a wee bit of a floral theme but I was on a budget and these were most likely on sale because it was tail end of a trend.
I sewed many projects and stenciled throughout. I put so much of myself into this place. It was home for 3 years while I studied computer programming. It housed me and my childhood cat and then eventually my best buddy Sam "t" cat.
Make your place your home regardless of how long you plan to stay it will do your soul good.
